I am looking forward to something, and I can't stand the anticipation. I'm jumpy, I can't sit still, and I'm spilling things. (I get clumsy when I'm excited.)
Tomorrow I go to my annual writing conference - all the rock stars of children's literature will be there, and I get to listen to them. This will be my third time attending the conference and it keeps getting better.
So, what do you look forward to with anticipation?
Is it the end of the school year? (It's okay, you can be honest)
It is a special birthday?
The next Fair?
You can make a list first, then record your feelings.
What is the waiting like?
Do you plan or rehearse what will happen when the big moment finally arrives?
Do you try to occupy your mind with other things until "it" finally gets here?
Do you throw caution to the wind and run around screaming and flailing your arms because you can't take it anymore?
So, what is it? What do you most look forward to?
